This charming and elegant brunch place is well worth a visit! Out of all the breakfast spots we went to on our trip, this was the best by far. We ordered the Texas waffle, huevos rancheros, and club sandwich. The portion sizes are perfect, and the flavors of the rancheros were fresh and amazing. We loved the waffles; they were cooked to perfection, and the vanilla cream paired perfectly. Overall, 1886 Cafe & Bakery is the perfect place to stop for a relaxing yet flavorful breakfast. The service was also exceptional and would definitely come back soon.

Had the steak and eggs at Cafe 1886 at Austin and it was really good. The steak was cooked just right and full of flavor, and the eggs were done perfectly. Solid food, relaxed atmosphere, and good service. Definitely worth stopping by again.

The best Huevos Rancheros I have ever had for breakfast. Just the correct amount of spice. The ambience is amazing. Very friendly staff.

Pretty good breakfast options overall. They had a gluten free muffin which was nice. The Driskill breakfast was good but it seemed a little stingy on the scrambled eggs. We were told that some options were recently scaled down because of new ownership. For example, only whole milk (no skim or 2% for lattes). They also didn't have honey and didn't allow for regular coffee refills. Music was a bit loud in the cafe also but the decor was nice. Staff was very nice and friendly. If you're staying in the hotel it's a quick close option.

Amazing atmosphere. Such a sense of History in the hotel. The cafe has great brunch. I had the ladybird egg white omelette. It was so good. I ordered a to-go one to take home to my son. You have to go in and order at the counter and then you can pick where you want to sit, whether it's in the cafe itself or out in the lounge area of the hotel or on the patio. It was great fun
