Came here because they’ve won best breakfast awards three years in a row. I wasn’t disappointed. Enjoyed the breakfast special French Toast Chicken sandwich but got it without bacon. I wasn’t disappointed amazed how fast it came out. If you go past the bathrooms, up 3 short steps, you’re greeted by Jake and Elwood, the blues brothers! So fun. It’s also close to Kerry Park for the best views of Seattle.

I’m sorry, I really am. I wanted to like the 3 year in a row best in the PNW award winning restaurant but it was just…. Not great. Not bad but I can’t recommend it. I got the French toast chicken sandwich and I thought I’d be able to eat it with my hands like a chicken n waffle but the French toast wasn’t strong enough to hold the chicken so it defeats the purpose of it being a sandwich. The potatoes weren’t very flavorful. As a person who has tried many spices throughout my life I would recommend they try using any of them. The best part of it was fruit. Now the food wasn’t horrible but it definitely wasn’t as flavorful or good as I hoped. My friend who is Mexican for the chorizo scramble and was let down as well. They gave the place overall a 4 out of 10, if you could see their face they didn’t have anything they liked about the meal. The chorizo lacked flavor. The best part overall was the cinnamon roll and it wasn’t great. Overall I think it’s a difference in culture, if you’re from a culture that doesn’t use spices you’d love this place! If your culture uses lots of spices you won’t. I know it’s a breakfast place but still, I wasn’t expecting a smorgasbord of flavors but I still wanted some. Overall a 3, the service and atmosphere are great! The food mid

We visited 5 Spot Café on November 21, 2025, around 11 AM, and the experience ended up being a mix of great food and disappointing service. The place itself is lovely, very clean, bright, and welcoming, with that classic Queen Anne charm. It was also quite busy, which shows how popular it is. We ordered a Build Your Own Omelette, Avocado Toast and Farmhouse Scramble and we also ordered a coffee. The food itself was very good fresh, well seasoned, and nicely presented. Honestly, the kitchen did a great job. Where things fell apart was the service. For a place this busy, I expected a certain level of attentiveness, but our server seemed checked out from the moment we sat down. Zero attention, no real interaction, and extremely short responses. At one point, we were literally mid-order when one of us was still deciding, and the server simply walked away abruptly without saying anything. It felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially during a brunch rush when clear communication matters. Despite the great food and clean environment, the service brought the overall experience down.

In town for the weekend and found this amazing spot. I ordered the chilaquiles special with medium rare steak and sunnyside up eggs. The steak was cooked to perfection!! All the flavours of my dish were fantastic. My partner got the chicken fried steak with hash browns and overeasy eggs which were also delicious. The art was beautiful and I love how each booth had their own coat rack! The best part of this experience was our server, Delmer. He was out of this world with service! Fast, precise, and top notch. I can see why this diner has won the past three years. Thank you so much for the amazing time!
