We signed up based on the high praise in the review, but our actual experience with the class fell short of expectations. My children struggled to learn effectively because the instructor, Aaron, taught the entire lesson from the poolside, never entering the water—despite the depth being over my kid’s head. I was thinking the instructor might not feel well on that day. But I was surprised, and later noticed he did get into the water to teach one adult in the class right after ours. For little kids needing to master skills, consistent in-water instruction seems essential for proper learning and support.

Wow, I can't believe it's been over 2 years with Aaron, it's flown by with both my girls. My oldest has had interest in swimming since she came out of the womb and I've found that under Aaron's tutelage it's really helped her with her self expression and regulation. My second started around age 4 and while the first 4 lessons or so was her tantrumming by the side of the pool, we were able to ease her into lessons and now it is the best part of her week! I love that Aaron focuses on staying calm in the water so that over time I really believe my kids will enjoy swimming. Having independent swimming kids is pure vacation and parental magic, it's become a highlight for our family and a way to ensure we get time in the water! I have friends who are much more proactive about getting their kids swimming, sometimes even several lessons a week but with much less time and investment Aaron has my kids swimming the length of the pool with breaststroke and freestyle by around kindergarten! I recently learned that Aaron used to be a special education teacher and it makes perfect sense - he's incredibly patient and adaptable to all different personalities (adults included!). And I would be remiss to not mention that he is incredibly professional. All invoices are printed quickly and on time, schedules are kept accurate and precise weeks out, and he shows up on time every time, many times even early. It's wonderful he's now teaching at Cupertino Swim and Racquet since now you don't need to have your own pool to learn with him!

Coach Aaron is a dream coach and taught both of my kids to swim, starting at age 4. He’s extremely calming and patient with kids who have all different challenges. I would book Aaron ASAP - I always regret not having more time with him!

Our son needed swim lessons so that he’d be ready for summer camp. Arron was terrific and our son’s swimming improved quickly. Thanks!

Aaron has been an incredible swim coach—patient, knowledgeable, and always encouraging. Their attention to technique and ability to motivate swimmers of all levels has made a huge difference in my kids' progress. Highly recommend!

I am an adult, swimming mainly for fitness. Before I take lessons with Aaron, I already generally know how to swim freestyle, backstroke, breastroke and even butterfly (worst). But I felt something is off, and I want to correct mistakes and improve techniques if possible. So I started taking 30min weekly lessons with Aaron. It last several months. I liked the instruction and feedback in each lesson. In the end, I feel I learned a lot and improved all four strokes as I was hoping to. I am still not very good at some of the areas pointed out by him, but at least I am aware of them. I even learned and practiced freestyle flip turn. Without proper supervision and guidance, I would be afraid to attempt myself. Overall, I feel the money and time are well spent.
