Anaya Latin Dance offers something absolutely unique not just for Alaska, but would be anywhere in the lower 48 too. You will learn Cuban salsa (aka Casino) & all the rich Cuban dances that Cubans blend with it - rumba, mambo, yuka, & Afro-Cuban dances. The music is on another level and we have so much fun in classes and at the socials. Ciro & Liz are also such warm and welcoming people, & the community they have built reflects this. Perfect medicine for any time of year, but especially for our dark Alaska winters!

I am new to dance, am not graceful in the least, and struggle with rhythm. Liz and Ciro are patient, and can describe a move in many ways. I also respect that they know and share the history of each style of dance, explaining the people and customs that influenced the moves. Great place to learn more about dance for both new and experienced dancers.

At Anaya Latin Dance, the style Liz and Ciro have of teaching has been amazing for me! I've honestly never been able to pick up the moves and routines so fast like I have with at Anaya Latin Dance. The balance Ciro and Liz have in teaching as a man and a woman is so beautiful! I see the moves and the "decoration" and flavor that you two bring! It's wonderful❣️✨I also appreciate learning about the roots of the music as well. It's not only dance, it's learning the history and culture. :)

Anaya Latin Dance is the best place to learn all about Cuban dance. Ciro and Liz are fabulous dance instructors. They’ll guide you with patience and encouragement through every step. Their passion and dedication is contagious.

I have been dancing with this company for almost a year. I have had a transformative experience and I will be forever grateful! I have danced to Latin music my whole life and I have always struggled with following and maintaining my dance steps. I can now follow dance leads and my style and abilities improve every class! My confidence has also improved greatly and I am honored to dance with such a fine group. There are always dynamic classes and fun family-friendly social dance events to attend.
