This review is long, but the experience of coming to A&P test prep Houston justifies it. I hope my story and set of circumstances inspires even just one person to take that leap of faith and 'Just do it'. My background: 4 years on active duty as a helicopter mechanic. Eat sleep breathe aviation. Got out and for whatever reason just didn't want to continue in that field. I went to an intensive HVAC trade school, and spent 6 months in the field working as an HVAC service technician (electrical heavy). Quit because it was very hard on my body. Ended up in the Insurance field somehow as an Independent adjuster. Literally feast or famine income. Pay dependent on the weather. Went broke in 2025 after an injury/surgery. After being cleared to work, low storm activity resulted in an absolute drought. Tried starting my own christmas lights installation business. failed to take off quickly enough when it was only mid-october. Bills had to be paid and mouths had to be fed. I found a job as an un-licensed aircraft mechanic and I took the bird in the hand. I fell in love with aviation again very quickly. I was working around mainly fresh out of school A&P's. It bugged me I couldn't sign off my own work. I knew I had to get my ticket and transition back to aviation. After screening a few other test prep schools (Bakers, AeroTech) I found this place. Chris just made such a solid impression on me that I knew this is the one I would go to. He listened to my story, gave me some advice on how to best plan attendance. He didn't pressure me to come ASAP. Eventually I came up with the means to pay for the cost of tuition and lodging/fuel. I showed up and Chris sat me down in his office. We had a little interview. He handed me the Airframe written study guide and I got right to it. I found that my brain didn't retain information that well when I would sit there studying for a full day. My method was to simply wake up, eat, study until I got tired or my brain felt fried, and go to sleep. Never set an alarm, just slept until I felt rested enough, woke up and repeat. I had the most funky sleep schedule, but it worked for me. I was surrounded by 4-5 other students going through the same thing. I became great friends with a few of them. My friends would all plan to show up at the office the same time every day. We would sit there in silence and just study our butts off, followed by a break every hour or two to let our brains recover. Before I knew it, I had passed all 3 written tests in 10 days! I took a short break to see wife and kiddos, then I hit the Oral & Practical study guide very intensely for a week straight. I dedicated an average of 10 hours per day to studying. One of my friends took his O&P a week before me and passed. It was so motivating to pick him up from AIM with his signed A&P. I was scheduled for my O&P one week later. As time drew closer to my O&P date, I began to worry excessively. I doubted myself. I couldn't sleep, and my studying method suffered. I'm pretty much an open book as you can tell, but so is Chris. He's literally THE guy you want in your corner when you're going through this mentally draining process. It's not easy at all. But Chris will remind you that you CAN do it. If you don't think you can do something, you're probably right that you can't do it. But if you attack it with a positive, can-do attitude, you will surprise yourself. Not only is Chris an awesome counselor, he is an even better instructor. I should know Ohm's law like the back of my hand...I was an HVAC tech for a living...I earned my paycheck with a multi-meter glued to my hand all day. But like a muscle, I didn't use that skill for a long time, so I lost it. As busy as that man is...He took the time out of his day to instruct me on pretty much any subject area I didn't understand until the lightbulb clicked in my head. Attending this school literally changed my life. Not only did I leave with my A&P, I left with a new, MUCH improved career trajectory. Chris, you rock man, from the heart.

Cannot recommend this place enough. I came here with my boyfriend to feel out our options. We came here to see Chris who was extremely easy to talk to, professional, and confident in my boyfriend’s ability to pass these tests and get it done. The curriculum is easy to follow and the self paced model helps in limiting the pressure around an already stressful process. This has been the closest we’ve gotten and we have to attribute that to Chris’ help and expertise in this field. We couldn’t have gotten this far without his passion and dedication. Thank you Chris!

Drove down from NC after 3 phone calls to follow a dream and a passion. The experience was interesting, tiring, and 100% worth it. Chris ( Head Honcho) Is a beast and stands behind everything he offers. The other hands on deck are absolute titans. The process for securing an A&P with this speed is a GRIND anywhere you go, show up and do what you’re told everyday and it will pay off. That being said I secured my A&P today 2/6 and am writing this review STOKED as a drive the 16.5 hours back home. ps. ignore the negative reviews from unmotivated individuals who let THEMSELVES down. I’m open for contact at anytime to back this business.

This business is a scam. The owner took our money and didn't provide service. When issue happened, dude literally told us to figure it out ourselves? Like dude we pay you for service and you didn't do anything. When we ask for refund, he ignore us and deny responsibility. Stay away from this business!! He only want easy money and don't want to deliver service. Be aware. I already warn you. I lost my money but you can't scam other people anymore CHRIS !!! 👎 Edit: Try to prove you are innocent all you want CHRIS, but I have proof of my payment to you, I recorded all our conversation. And you only show your true face when trouble happened. You know what happened recently and what you did. God is the greatest witness and he sees the truth. Keep that dirty money. Also, if you are smart enough, you should know smart people don't use their real name for social media, so of course you don't know who I am.
