If I could give this place 20 stars I would. Lactose free ice cream (i.e. real milk and dairy ice cream with added lactase) with flavor combinations that no other creamery dares to try… this place is a feel good “make you feel yummy inside” kind of spot!

I was in bed craving dessert and searching on google maps for places currently open. There were a lot of great options, but none to motivate me leaving the house. Then I came across this place and saw on their website they had PANDAN sticky rice. I immediately jumped out of bed and drove over to see if it was too good to be true, and I’m SO GLAD I DID because their Pandan Sticky Rice ice cream is SO GOOD!!! I’m devastated that I got to it the day before they’re ending this rotating flavor but forever grateful I got to try this specialty 😊

Tonight, I had the Fa’Sho Dough, which is their version of Cookie Dough, and wow, was it sweet and delicious! I almost went back for another one. I’ve been trying Bad Walter’s even before they had a brick-and-mortar place. Back in the day, you had to go to their pop-ups all over the city. I’m so glad they opened a physical location because they really have some of the best flavors in the whole San Francisco Bay Area. They’re always experimenting and have new flavors every week or so. It’s always a new flavor every time I come here, which is always exciting. Plus, they use real dairy but have no lactose for all my lactose-intolerant friends out there. Please check them out—you won’t be disappointed by this Oakland gem!

Super mixed emotions! Really good ice cream bc of the toppings and mix in. The ice cream itself is not quite smooth or creamy as it can be. That said I did REALLY like this place. Just my opinion

Super yummy ice cream that is lactose free. We tried a bunch of flavors and ended up with a scoop each of “classic plain old vanilla” and “Inside out recess”. Great taste, friendly staff and decent seating area! Parking might be difficult on a busy afternoon but late evening should be fine. They change their flavors every week so check their Insta before heading in.
