Bearded Wonder
Jan 2, 2026 First time trying this place, we were excited from recommendations. Ordering was easy and we received our sandwiches within 10 minutes. We ordered the Steak and Cheese with bacon 🥓 and jalapeños and the Pastrami Rueben also with bacon 🥓 and jalapeños. My girlfriend and I split the sandwiches so we can try each one. Unfortunately the Steak and Cheese sandwich meat tasted like it was frozen and had refrigerator/freezer taste 😕 not a great first impression for us sadly. So we didn't eat that one so it was a waste of money.. Fortunately the Pastrami Rueben was delicious with zero complaints 😋. Another issue I feel is they should have meals that include the chips and a drink instead of making it a la carte.

Small owned shop in a heart of a neighborhood provides a great cheesteake option, both hot ans cold options for sandwiches and cool variety of bevs. The velvet red stores cookie was worth EVERY penny - almost ate the wrap it was so good. Parking behind the building , if you get it great other wise parking is street and tight . But makes it worth the walk around to the other shops after your meal!

Great little deli hidden gem in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. Small inside with a couple of tables outside to sit at. Great menu. I got an Italian sub with the hot pepper jelly and highly recommend it. On another visit I got the buffalo chicken sandwich which was huge and delicious. My friend got a Philly cheesesteak, also fab!

I’d put it on my entire bloodline when I say these are the best sandwiches in San Antonio. The flavor is unmatched, the bread is the perfect texture, the meats are cooked perfectly. We got the chicken cheesesteak and the italian. I wish I had three more stomachs so I could’ve had different sandwiches without getting full. Bottled sodas were a great addition and the baked goods are so fluffy and sweet.

First off, the sandwiches are massive, second, the chip selection is elite, and third, locals and non-locals alike love this place, so be patient in the tight space while waiting to order. The canoli was okay. You can skip it. The flavor of the curried chicken salad sandwich was creamy, mild, with a nice egg to chicken ratio. The onion on top added a much needed kick. The sandwich needs another little something to hit 5 stars, maybe a citrus element? A pickle? The tomato isn't enough acidity. The bread was top notch sandwich bread.
