Very cute store and friendly staff, but wayyy overpriced, especially for coffee. I ordered an iced cappuccino and they gave me a plastic cup, HALF-filled for $6. Def not a full-cup or as strong as I typically get at other cafes. Not worth it for the coffee. I'd just go here for the bookstore and backyard

The space is nice, but I had a very bizarre experience with staff that really turned me off... I was looking for a particular book, so I called to see if they had it. The person I talked to was very nice, said they had a similar version and she'd put it aside for a few minutes while I headed over. Great, I thought, and packed up the kiddo and went. But when I got there about 15 minutes later and asked at the counter, she told me they "had sold out" and could order it. Like, ok? Were you lying to me when you said you put something aside for me, or are you lying to me now? Either way, it wasted my time and I'm confused why they didn't just tell me the truth about their inventory.

After a long walk through The Golden Gate Park and spending time on Ocean Beach. This was the perfect way to end the day. Browsing around at local bookstore with great vibes! Had a great interaction and the staff were super cool! Wish I could have stayed longer to read in the back patio outside, because today was the perfect weather for it. Definitely recommend to stop by if your in the Ocean Beach area.

Tried Black Bird Coffee in SF and it was such a vibe ☕✨ I ordered the honey lavender latte (yes, it’s as good as it sounds) and a brownie — both were so good. The latte had that perfect balance: lightly floral, a touch sweet, and super smooth. Not overpowering at all, which I loved. And the brownie… honestly, one of those simple pleasures done right. Rich, fudgy, and exactly what you want with coffee. The place itself is cozy and easy to settle into for a bit — whether you’re catching up with someone or just taking a break. Definitely coming back 🤍
