I have been getting tattooed by Matt Moore for quite some time. His work is so amazing! He’s done a full sleeve, my spine and currently working on my leg sleeve. I give him an idea and he brings it to life! I love how cozy and clean Black Hive is too. Matt always makes sure to offer water and potty breaks no matter how short or long the sessions as well. Highly recommended!

Matt Moore at Black Hive Tattoo is amazing. He did my cover-up, has touched up most of my tattoos, and we’re currently working on another cover-up…. so yeah, he’s obviously really good 😅. He’s also done both arm sleeves for a friend of mine, and they came out incredible. The shop is always super clean and insanely creative. Every time I come in, I leave even more inspired than when I walked in.

Update: 12 years later and this is still by far my shop of choice. I've been getting work done by Colbey for over a decade now and trust him to work out just about any idea I can come up with. From creation to application he has a professional skill set with a very laid back approachable attitude. His composition, attention to detail, and line work really make for fantastic art work. And he's no stranger to the whimsical or weird. I can't recommend him enough. Over the years I've gotten to know Nick as well, both as an artist and a person, and I believe he truly respects the art and the craft he is a part of. He cultivates this mindset in all the artist that work at the stop and for that reason Black Hive will continue to be my spot for the foreseeable future. The shop is very clean and comfortable. I can't speak first hand about all the artists but I would have no hesitation to get more work done by any of them. These artists truly care about the work they turn out, not simply how many clients they can get in and out. All in all I highly recommend them!
