This is my third time getting a haircut here. I travel a lot for work and recently moved to Indianapolis. Finding a barber who understands my style is always challenging. I'm happy to say that Lexi has become my go-to barber in Indy.

Got a cut from Noah and he did great. Worked with the reference photos I gave him and I love the way it turned out. He was even a sweetheart and shaped up the edges of my beard with the straight razor, as well. Place always has a great vibe and I can't recommend it and him enough.

My experience here was a great one. Marcus is a true technician and artist when it comes to his craft. I really appreciate him fitting me into his schedule, especially on a day when he was fully booked. He took his time, paid close attention to detail, and made sure I left with a cut my wife and I was proud of. Excellent service and professionalism all around—highly recommended!

Black Orchid is a nice atmosphere with good cuts a reasonable price for a quality barber. I see Joey, but many hairdressers they employ do good work. Plus, can’t beat the straight razor neck shave with warm scented foam! Is it worth $35+? Up to you, but you’ll have a good cut.

DO NOT GO TO CLAY, HE WILL MESS YOU UP. I told him “I want my hair to still curl but get it out of my face.” By the time he was done there was not a curl left on my head. Not only that but he entirely missed spots on the back of my head and sideburns, while also leaving the front uneven. Seemed like he didn’t care at all, just wanted to get me out the door. He was too busy talking to everybody else and clearly can’t multitask. However, I don’t hate the place. Lucy gave me a great haircut my previous visit. Lucy will be the only person to ever cut my hair again as long as I’m in Indianapolis. This haircut has seriously damaged my trust in barbers. Place is good, but have to give it a one star; a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Thought a place with such a good reputation wouldn’t let anybody like Clay in.
