I was scheduled to get my hair trimmed and had scheduled with Ami. I had gone to her once before and had a really great experience! She knew how to work with curly/wavy hair and I was more than happy with my cut/style. I don't get my hair cut often, about twice a year, and only ask for a basic trim but since I am paying close to $100 for a trim + style, I look at it as a time to relax and enjoy myself. The most recent time I went there, I walked in and said I had an appointment. I was then asked if I had a hair stylist preference. I had sworn I chose Ami on the reservation, but I figured a hair wash, trim, and style is easy and i'm truly not that picky, so I said no. I honestly figured Ami was running behind with another client or had something come up and had to leave early. The other stylist I had was nice, but it was not a relaxing experience. Water was sprayed all over my face during the hair wash and my neck was covered in scratches from her acrylic nails, which was very painful. I then see that Ami was busy doing a coworker's hair, which was just frustrating. I completely understand if there was a legitimate reason as to why she couldn't do my hair, but I do not think it is professional to skip out on clients' appointments in order to do a coworker's hair foils. I'm a flexible and understanding person, but felt like I was taken advantage of. I unfortunately will be looking for a new hair salon.
