I visited Blue Pearl Midtown for their Oncology department. I really like Dr. Rocha - I think he took his time to offer a thorough consultation and plan of action; what I didn't like is they don't do your pet's exam in the room with you, it's elsewhere and I didn't realize I was going to have to leave my cat all day for diagnostics that she already had, but were outdated. I understood why we needed to redo them, but it just sort of threw us for a loop, but overall we were happy with the visit. I do wish, however, that the process for communicating after was easier, whether it be a direct email or chat with the Oncology dept. Any time I have a Q, I have to go through the front desk, they relay it and then I get a call back at their earliest convenience. They have always called back and been on top of all the Qs, but just wish there was a bit of a more direct line of communication. All in all, I would recommend though.

The staff and doctors are all really helpful and kind and know what they are doing and it's not their fault. They want to help. However, it's not much different than what you'd expect at most other places, so the prices being that high make no sense, when you can travel 20 mins away and get prices more than half off and that same (maybe better) quality.

Had a terrible experience here. We took our baby here 3x this month for what we thought was an emergency. The night nurse who is an older woman, short hair/shoulder length, brown eyes, looks like she is stressed out, maybe born in the 60s or 70s is super rude. We met her twice and the second time we met her she was even worse. We were under the impression that we are allowed to rush our pet in if we think they need an emergency. Were told a bunch of times its free for them to check, so why wouldn't anyone take advantage of that? The lady is old school and doesn't believe that some animals don't have different outcomes on some types of medicines. She questioned our own home vets policies. The kicker both times this mean witch (yes witch) didn't give us her name. The other lady Iris was super nice! But the other woman who seems to be there nights going into Thursdays and nights going into Fridays is so mean. We saw her talking under her breath about us while we were walking in the door the second time. We definitely would like to file a complaint about her because we were told we can't come back, we only came because we were told they can triage for free or else we politely wouldn't have wasted her time. She clearly had an influence on the front desk because when we said goodbye we were ignored. This all should be on the cameras if corporate would like to look into this matter or tell me who I should call.
