Decided to take the plunge (well many plunges) and learn to wing foil. Matt was an awesome instructor for my first lesson. I was hooked. The next day, I met with Jane to buy gear. She was very patient ( as I barely knew which end was up ) and made recommendations for an appropriate board and wing for my size. Again, she remained very patient as she walked me through the set up and inflation process. We were rewarded at the end of our session with a beautiful onshore wind and we were both able to get out on the water. (Well, I was more in than on). There is nothing that can compare to the personal service provided by Boardsports California. As I progress, and my equipment needs change, I will be consulting with Boardsports (by phone , chat or Zoom) since I’m not local to the Bay Area) . They are experts on the water and experts in passing their knowledge to their customers.

These folks are amazing! My son desperately needed a new skate helmet and his birthday is right around the corner and I was striking out everywhere on the one he wanted- they had one left in stock and they went out of their way to overnight it so we will have it asap! Thank you so much! Any future gear we can't get at our local shop I will definitely be purchasing from these folks! Mahalo!

Rebecca and her team at Boardsports are fantastic. When it came time for me to buy my own windsurfing gear, Rebecca provided invaluable advice, a range of options at different price points, and ultimately an unbeatable package. I have been having an amazing time out of the water and I attribute it to Rebecca taking the time to understand my skill-level, my preferences, and my windsurfing goals. She also spent a considerable amount of time showing me how to rig and tune my gear (at a social distance) so that its performance is optimal. Great shop! Boardsports organized a great "Launching & Safety Clinic & Spring Kick Off BBQ" in June, a nice way to discover California kite spots. Several months after, I bought a new kite and Rebecca organized a pickup in SF just for me. I got my new kite in a couple of hours, it was awesome.

I purchased a Severne Fox and two North sails, all sight unseen, from Jane and Rebecca recently. I purchased the equipment from them based on their in depth knowledge of the equipment gained from their own personal use of all the gear for several sessions on the water. They also spent time on the water testing other similar gear as well, so they were able to honestly compare and contrast a lot of other brands as well. After using the gear I purchased from Boardsports CA., everything they told me about the gear when they sold it to me was true and accurate. I really appreciated their advice, honesty and help. They made the buying process almost as fun as sailing the equipment! I was very pleased with how they did their best to get me what I would be most happy with. I would love to buy from them again!
