I had been putting off this review for months because I wanted to take the time to write something that truly reflects how grateful I am for Shawn from Bridgeway Electric. In October 2025, we lost power to more than half of our home in Richmond, CA. Three rooms, the bathroom, hallway, and laundry room were completely without electricity. It was extremely inconvenient, especially since everyone in the home works full-time. Naturally, we contacted PG&E, assuming the issue was on their end. A technician came out and told us the copper wires feeding electricity into the home were corroded, causing high resistance and preventing voltage from passing through. They told us to hire an electrician. We reached out to family, friends, and electricians we knew. Everyone either fell through or wanted us to handle permits and other legwork before they would even come out to diagnose the issue. At that point, we were desperate to find someone reliable and trustworthy. I remembered a realtor I trusted and ended up finding Bridgeway Electric’s Instagram. With few options left, I reached out. I contacted Shawn on November 4th, and he came out the same day. After inspecting everything, he confirmed there was corrosion—but that wasn’t the cause of the power loss. Using multiple methods, he showed us that PG&E’s meter had failed. He advised us to call PG&E again and tell them exactly what he found. On November 5th, after a long struggle, PG&E finally sent someone out. When I explained what my electrician had told me, the tech dismissed me rudely: “Do you need me to hold your electrician’s hand?” “Sometimes if you don’t show these electricians exactly what it is, they’ll point at anything.” Feeling doubtful, I called Shawn and asked if he could speak with the PG&E tech. Shawn got on the phone and literally walked the tech through how to do their job. Even then, the PG&E tech said, “Okay, just to prove you’re wrong, I’ll install a new meter. Just to show you that you’re WRONG.” He installed the new meter. All the power came back instantly. If you’re tired of unreliable, unprofessional, or unknowledgeable electricians, call Shawn. He is the real deal. He went above and beyond for us, and I couldn’t thank him enough. We now have our electrician for life. Thank you, Shawn

Very thorough, responsive, explained the whole process, and changes when needed. Very communicative regarding what parts of the project would be handled next, and the time to complete. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing electrical... Oh and the pricing was reasonable as well.

I’m so glad I chose to work with Bridgeway. There are electricians who do the work you ask them to do and then there are electrical contractors who go above and beyond to work with you on suggesting the work that you should do to better fit your needs. Bridgeway is the latter. Shawn was easy to work with, communicated clearly, and was very responsive. He completely handled all of the coordination with PG&E and gave me very clear instructions on the items I needed to do. They might not be the cheapest but wow do they do good work that will last for a long time. I will not hesitate to use them for any future electrical projects.

Bridgeway fully rewired my 100 yo house, ran ethernet, installed security cameras, interior/exterior lighting and a SPAN panel. They also did some more minor upgrades in my guest house. The owner, Shawn is very knowledgeable, responsive and helpful. His prices seem reasonable and he's pleasant to work with. He also referred me to a good plumber and wall repair person. He coordinated with all the other trades on-site seamlessly making it easy for me to manage the project while living out of state. I highly recommend Bridgeway and will definitely use them again!
