Thr food was good for the soul! Catfish was seasoned to perfection and dumplings were like Grandma's.

I must be very honest I’m from Houston and I have struggled with finding a great soul food place in the DFW area but this restaurant is one of the best I’ve had in a long time!!!! This place is 10 out of 10. Huge shout out to the chef!!! I will be back again!

My first time visiting food was delicious but the service was not good we waited on a hour or more for our food no wait staff came to us we did not understand the process then at the very end they came to to tell us they was out of wings then when brother in law got his catfish meal it was not what he expected only 3 strips of catfish which had been cut up.I will not be back to long to wait for food and the service.

That kickin chicken sandwich at carpenters cafe was the best chicken sandwich I ever had. I don't have any pictures because I ate it right away and didn't come up for air until it was gone. The fries were good and the service was great also.
