I was browsing the lovely selection of books when the owner walked up to me and spoke in french to me. when i said that I was sorry because I don't speak french he stared at me angrily and threw his arms out to either side. would not recommend going here if you are not local/can't communicate in French. I just left feeling unwelcome.

A cute used book store with a good collection of CDs. Visited it several times when traveling to Quebec, and left with a big box of disks!

Nice used bookstore. Mostly they have books in French but they do have a section of English books (and some scattered as well). The English books I found were mostly like novels or slightly older non fictions. Located across the library. Probably this place is more for local than tourist unless you do read French books.

The store itself is great, but not welcoming at all. If you're not local, I'd avoid this place. As an international traveller, to be rudely told "I don't speak English", despite being asked in perfect English if I spoke French, or I wanted a bag is not exactly welcoming to tourists. The official language of Quebec is English, and all other places are able to swap between English and French, but the attitude here was terrible. Such a shame.
