Crimson is like a beautifully curated paradise. It both smells amazing and is visually stunning. I love everything about this store. The products are top tier and unlike some other plant shops, everything there is with intention and integrity. The owner and staff are so knowledgeable and helpful whenever I have come in with a gift request or a little something for myself. I wish my house looked like Crimson, it is that spectacular.

I am a longtime customer and Alison and her crew never let me down! I go to Crimson for all my gift giving (and gift keeping) I have given plants, ceramics, olive oil and even jewelry. The staff is wonderful, they repotted a plant I bought into a beautiful hanging ceramic pot that is one of my favorite things in my kitchen. Crimson is a women run small buisnes in Oakland and money spent here is money well spent.

Crimson is that rare place that washes over you when you walk in. It’s abundant in scale and flora, serving up healthy vibrant plants and backed by knowledgeable babes who guide you to just the right specimen. I love how I walk out with an odd one I was not even searching for. They have carefully curated a shop with all sorts of housewares and scents that truly round out a home with a solid and bold aesthetic that works for everyone. It’s always a delight to be there.

I normally don't order my plants online but I took a chance and I can say it was the best choice I ever made. I have always been fascinated with dieffenbachia, i have different variations of dieffenbachia but always wanted a reflector. I discovered Crimson Horticulture Rarities on YouTube and I can honestly say I'm impressed wowed and in awe. I live in Cleveland Ohio and will be ordering more in the future. If you have never stopped in or if you are hesitant on buying your plants online stop hesitating and order from here.

If you’re from the SF Bay Area, I might ask you this as a litmus test: Do you know Crimson Horticultural Rarities? If you’re a die-hard fan, you’re my kind of person. Sure, Crimson can feel a bit intense at first—with its unmistakable gothic flair—but that’s exactly what makes it so compelling. It’s one of the few places where the romance of death and life, human form and botanical beauty, come together in such a thoughtfully curated way. Think: velvety, temperamental houseplants mingling with anatomical drawings and curious natural specimens—alive, decaying, sprouting all at once. If you live in the Bay and haven’t been? Go today. Seriously. (And—what’s going on with you?)
