The place is ok. Kinda weird and run down. Upon arrival, a blonde lady sped her car across the parking lot cutting my wife and I off to steal the only open spot. Later she said “sorry that one is staff parking only and I’m in a hurry doing laundry” We drove to another empty parking lot and a staff member kicked us out and said staff only. We parked a 3rd time and some hippy camper told us she wants to preserve her camping experience and said we needed to move away from her. So the parking is ridiculous and the staff kinda unprofessional. There were Staff only or out of order signs on refrigerators, elevator out of order etc. Buildings, fittings, doors etc were obviously in disrepair. The grounds are badly kept, needing weeding, mowing and trimming. The lodging is very dated and just a step above tent camping but not a refreshing stay like a nice hotel. Tiny rooms, no ac, springy bed good for a kid camper maybe. No mini fridge or other amenities. Parking 1/5 Staff 3/5 Food 2/5 Amenities 2/5 Gift store 4/5 Nature, etc. 5/5 The temple is cool but idk about staying again.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Drala. I just got back from leading a 4 day retreat at their center for 16 of my yoga students and everything was perfect. They provided us our own space for practice and lectures that had everything we needed (yoga mats, meditation cushions, bolsters, blocks, white boards, etc). The staff went above and beyond to make sure things were set up for us and were extremely communicative both before, during, and after our stay. The food was phenomenal. The rooms were clean and had what you need to rest your head after an eventful day. The walk to the stupa was easy and beautiful and the stupa itself is breathtaking. I will absolutely be back here to host retreats again and again. Our new home away from home.

Just finished a weekend retreat at this beautiful sacred space. The Stupa is stunning and when you go inside there is a giant golden Buddha, with seats to meditate. Past the Stupa there is a shrine, where there is clear instructions on how to pay homage in the proper respectful way. The leaves on the aspens in the fall contributed to the autumn ambiance. For the retreat, Rooms were comfortable and clean. The two instructors hosting were incredibly talented at holding space and creating an amazing atmosphere and unforgettable experience. The food for all meals was delicious. The director Linda is friendly and nice. Would come back again for another retreat in the future.

A truly sublime area deep in the Colorado mountains. Entire staff from teachers to drivers are deeply thoughtful and welcoming. The property is immaculately maintained, with many of the buildings blending in with the surroundings, lending to the feeling of utter seclusion and solitude. The sunrises are spectacular and the sunsets unforgettable. A transformative experience for anyone that I highly recommend.
