I have been going to El Cajon Transmissions for about 10 years. Fernando the owner is very knowledgeable and is easy to work with. He did a full transmission rebuild on my Honda Accord back in 2018. I have driven the car over 60k miles since then and the transmission still shifts great. I now recently took him my Mustang GT v8 for a transmission oil drain and fill. I definitely recommend bringing your car here!

Very Disappointed — Work Incomplete, Items Gone, and Bad Service I chose this shop because they said they could do everything I needed for my truck at a good price. Unfortunately, that promise meant nothing. They installed a lift kit and changed out the tires and rims, but when I came to pick it up, the alignment was never done, and my vehicle had been damaged underneath. The worst part? A bunch of things I left in the truck were missing — including headphones, a pocket knife, cologne, coins, and even a pair of shoes. I immediately asked about it, and they brushed me off like it was no big deal. One person even responded very rudely when I called to follow up. The price also jumped way above what I was originally told. They tried to show me random websites to justify the new charges, but the numbers didn’t add up. I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone. Poor communication, no accountability, and very unprofessional behavior.

Fernando and the team here are the best! They worked all weekend to clear my big ole ford van out of the shop (full rebuild on the transmission with an added shift kit) and they got it done a day sooner than I'd even hoped! All without even the slightest change to his original estimate... which was *before* we added the shift kit. These folks are awesome!
