Picked up a used Sony ST-S730ES tuner. Brought it home, and noticed that the IF Mode, Cal Tone and and Memory functions didn't work. I pulled it apart, and cleaned and reflowed the push button switches. It all worked until I would put the display board back in the unit. Short story - found that whoever had this apart put the wrong screws in the wrong locations... and one of the chassis screws that was too long was shorting out the ground on the display board that was common to all three functions. In fact, the longer screws don't even belong to this model per the service manual. The longer screw also caused the display board not to sit flush, making the push buttons mechanically inadequate. Once I moved a few screws around, everything was in working order. I would have thought Electric City would verify all functions were working correctly prior to selling. I'm just disappointed. Even though there is a 30-day warranty - it just sucks that this wasn't sorted out when it was in their hands. Dinging a star.

Such a great place! After years of people taking my vintage Sansui receiver and returning it to me in worse condition than before, I finally brought it here. This will now be the ONLY place I bring my vintage audio gear for repairs. Communication and ease of approving the work estimate were wonderful. I've feared for years that repair of older units is a dying art, but these guys are keeping it alive. Turnaround time was very quick, under a month from drop-off to estimate to repair completed. I'm thrilled to have my system back up and running.

Had a fantastic experience with Ethan and Eric helping me out with purchasing a set of speakers for my vintage receiver and record player! Very knowledgeable staff with reasonable prices for the systems. Highly recommend!

Mom and Pop shop. Very informative. Decent prices.

Price was unacceptably high. Much higher than estimated on the webpage. I paid $120 and waited three months to find this out. Dr. Dan made me much happier, but he doesn’t service professional recording equipment. They seem like nice people, though, and I can’t comment on the workmanship.
