Has not been maintained. Machines out of order. Ball pit nearly empty.

Unfortunately EMF kids kotara needs some serious maintainence. At first entry, you notice the ball pit is very lacking in balls, and ones that are there are damaged, revealing the damaged floor surface underneath. The pleather is peeling, half the arcade games are out of order, the toilet light wouldn't turn on to use ladies toilets, and 2/3 of the toilets in order were dirtied anyway using a torch 😂. Back a couple of years it was a lot nicer and justified the entry fee. Now, it seems run down and not worth the entry fee.

I recently visited EMF Jnr Kotara for the first time. It’s in a great location inside Westfield Kotara, which makes it really convenient and easy to access. The weekday price of $12.50 for unlimited play is also very reasonable and definitely a strong positive. However, I did have higher expectations, and unfortunately the overall experience didn’t quite meet them. The café cabinet was extremely underwhelming, with very limited options available, and there were no hot food options as there doesn’t appear to be a kitchen. This was disappointing as we had planned to stay longer. There were also quite a few maintenance and safety issues that were concerning. On one of the slides, the plastic lining had come away and exposed the wood underneath right where children naturally place their hands when going down the slide. This is a clear safety risk. Additionally, many of the climbing nets have blue protective foam wrapped around the metal framing, but around 90% of these had the foam coming off or completely missing in areas. This leaves exposed metal right where children put their knees and legs while climbing, which is not safe and should be addressed urgently. Another major disappointment was the number of arcade machines that were out of order — well over 10 machines were not working during our visit. This significantly reduced the overall experience and value, especially when part of the appeal is the variety of games available. There were also noticeable cleanliness issues throughout the centre, with areas that did not appear hygienic or well maintained. Overall, the location and pricing are great, but significant improvements are needed in maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and ensuring equipment is working properly. With better upkeep and more food options, it could be a much better experience.

Don’t go! It’s closed! Looks to be permanently. Would be nice if they could put that on their website. Rather than have a lot of disappointed children.
