One of the best record shops that I’ve been to in Austin. Lots of secondhand gems and rare new releases. Also well organized by genre.

Looked like a fun place to find some records. Good reviews on google so considered well worth a visit during my short stay in Austin. Upon entering the shop I was asked to handover my backpack. All in friendly conversation but I prefer not to be looked upon as a potential thug when entering a shop. I prefer given a honest welcome as a customer.

Fantastic shop. Their used CD section has great finds at great prices, and I especially love their section of plentiful new (!!) CDs. Lots of stuff I don’t find shopping anywhere else. Great prog rock/experimental rock sections. Shout out for carrying Argentine rock CDs and records as well!

Went to find a record player but had no idea what we really wanted and the awesome man in the special room in the back helped with what eneded up being really stellar suggestion. We walked away with nice speakers too and now are at home LOVING the set up. He even talked us through the items features, like a quick start guide, that made it so easy on us. Great service!

Purchasing vinyl online can feel like a gamble at times. Often, it is very hard to distinguish stores that are selling true limited edition presses versus some that are “bootleg”. Thankfully End of an Ear is one that deals in legit copies of albums. At first, I was a little apprehensive when finding a copy of an album I thought I had missed out on and would be paying $$$$ to be able to get a copy for my personal listening enjoyment. I had not realized when I saw this at a local store that it was a limited pressing. Of course the next week when I went back all the copies were sold. To my surprise EoaE had it in stock and asked the original price. I did a quick check and read the reviews here which made me feel better about ordering. To my surprise their shipping price to get it across the US was also incredibly reasonable. The record arrived ahead of schedule, and well packed to make the trek. In short, great store to work with. They are now my top goto store when my local stores don’t have what I’m looking for.
