I’ve been coming to Ensō Yoga for two years, but today’s experience was beyond disappointing. Despite having 13 classes left on my package and having booked the 1:45 PM Sunday class with it for years (as recently last week), I was stopped at the door and told I had to pay an extra $21. The receptionist was incredibly rude and dismissive, claiming an email about this change was sent months ago—which I never received. To be turned away from a class you’ve already booked because of a sudden, uncommunicated policy change is one thing, but to be spoken to so poorly by staff is another. I expected much better service. Very disappointed in how management is handling their clients.

I couldnt wait to finish my last batch of 40 classes and write this review. After going there for 3 years I can honestly say that there is much better places to go. Miel and a couple other instructors were good, but instructors such as Jose and Anastasia made me want to cancel my membership. Passing mean sneaky comments and passive aggressive ones… My friend ended up telling me Anastasia was the manager and I had a hard time believing how. You have to pay for everything there, mats, towels… parking is terrible. Guys save your money and go to all the new studios that just opened. Also the owner if you are reading this, maybe you remember the comment you made to me as well? Very rude. It stuck with me for a while. Never coming back to your studio ever again in my life you bald headed eagle.

One of my favourite studios in MTL. I especially enjoy Pilates with Leina, Emma, Danyka, however Miel is the OG of the real pilates. Some observation: For a complete novice this wouldn’t be the place to learn about proper form. Instructor Miel pays more attention to correct posture but the format of 45min feels a bit too short. Some additional weights or equipment wouldn’t hurt also barre workour bars are very low . Bring socks, changing rooms have tile floor and the studio itself is very cold. They are blasting ac there. Studio does have a factory feel to it as some have already mentioned, you are in and out of the place, but premises are nice and clean. (Update:Water fountain needs cleaning 2026 may) It can get loud before/during/after the workout. Thé etiquette of attendees is questionable and there are no efforts from the studio to quiet down the crowd (however in the yoga room people were respectful). Rooms are warm not hot. There are some privacy issues and their administrative system is not user friendly. Not possible to pay in cash and you have to set up a whole profile and get your photo taken. It is a tad silly and feels invasive especially if you are just passing through the town and want to do a drop-in class or bring a friend. Buddy passes or facilitated +1 booking for regulars would be great. Believe me a person that was not able to secure their spot in advance, had to fill in a full form, take a photo and pay 37-38cad for a single class wont be sold on your services. Also asked to remove the cc on my file to be as it was of another person that conducted the payment (cash is not excepted). Anyhow the kind strangers card is still on the file!!!

I want to give 6 stars, but 6-5=1 so I give one. Yoga studios are supposed to feel calm, welcoming, and supportive. When people sign up for classes, they are usually looking for more than just exercise. They are looking for a space where they can relax, improve their health, and feel comfortable learning at their own pace. Unfortunately, my experience with Enso Yoga did not meet those expectations. Instead of feeling peaceful and encouraged, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and unsure why the studio has not done more to create a better environment for its students. One of the biggest problems with Enso Yoga is that the overall atmosphere does not feel as welcoming as a yoga studio should. A yoga studio should immediately make people feel comfortable, especially beginners who may already feel nervous about joining a class. However, Enso Yoga can come across as unorganized and impersonal. Rather than creating a warm community feeling, the studio feels like a business that is more focused on filling classes than making sure students actually have a good experience. That makes a major difference. Yoga is not just about poses; it is about trust, patience, and connection. When that is missing, the whole experience suffers. Another issue is the way classes are run. A good yoga instructor should be clear, attentive, and aware of the different ability levels in the room. At Enso Yoga, the instruction can feel rushed or inconsistent. Students who are new to yoga may struggle to follow along, while more experienced students may not feel challenged in a thoughtful way. Instead of carefully guiding everyone through the practice, the class may feel like it is moving on autopilot. That can make people feel ignored, especially when they are trying to learn proper form or avoid injury. Yoga teachers do not need to be perfect, but they should make students feel seen and supported. The studio also seems to lack strong communication. Clear communication is important for any fitness or wellness business. Students need to know about schedules, cancellations, class levels, pricing, and policies. When that information is unclear or handled poorly, it creates unnecessary stress. A yoga studio should reduce stress, not add to it. If students are confused about what they signed up for, what they are being charged, or which class is right for them, then the studio is failing at a basic responsibility. Enso Yoga would benefit from being more transparent and consistent with how it communicates with clients.

Dana's classes are the best. Balanced while hitting arms, core, and lower body. Her classes are challenging but not overly complicated, and you actually feel the burn and feel good after class.
