After getting a recommendation from a tour guide a decided to visit. The store is quant and wonderful. Between the living history of William Faulkner's French Quarter home, and the wonderful lady that attended the bookstore I was surprised at how calming a place it was . Also upon giving just a view details of the books I like, she was able to nail the books I would like, reccomend some great ones and some must read sections. Thank you !

I want to give this bookstore a five-star recommendation, but at the same time, I almost don’t want to write a review, because I truly feel the owner shouldn’t be disturbed while reading. This place feels less like a traditional bookstore and more like the owner’s personal bookshelf, carefully opened up to the public. Every book here seems to have a story, and the owner knows exactly where each one came from and why it deserves a place on her shelves. If you enjoy wandering, browsing, and discovering books with character, I highly recommend visiting. AND DO NOT JUST COME HERE TO TAKE PHOTOS!!

This spot has been on my bucket list for years. Incredible piece of history that is still standing to this day. The gentleman working was so kind, letting me take my time looking around at all the books.

Such a charming little book store! The historical aspect of the building itself was also interesting. The woman working the book shop was so sweet & enjoyable to chat with!

This is the type of place that you will only find in New Orleans. You're stepping into a little slice of history and are given the privilege of perusing the shelves. They have an outstanding collection of books and you can't resist picking up several of them.
