It’s challenging to find financial planning based only on a fee, rather than commissions or a percentage of assets. John Robinson offers asset-based financial planning and management, but also exactly what we were looking for, assessment and advice that was solely fee-based. For one flat amount, he provided a very comprehensive, knowledgeable assessment of our financial situation, along with solid advice for tax structure changes to discuss with our CPA that will maximize our investment savings and lower our tax exposure. As our case was rather unconventional, he even went so far as to reach out to a real estate attorney and a top realtor as part of the research that led to his final report. We are now confident in our plan going forward, but will continue to work with John periodically to ensure we stay abreast of any regulatory/investment/tax changes that could affect us.
