There’s a saying that really stayed with me this year: “If you don’t use it, you lose it.” And honestly, I lived that reality. During the pandemic, I gained about 40 pounds and started experiencing joint pain—to the point where some days I could barely walk. It was a wake-up call. That’s when I joined Fitness SF. Little by little, with patience and consistency, I began rebuilding my health. What truly changed everything for me were the yoga classes. They brought me back to myself. Today, I feel flexible, limber, and—most importantly—pain-free. I now consistently attend Marc’s Hatha yoga classes every Tuesday and Thursday, and Cyrus’s Vinyasa classes every Monday and Wednesday. Marc is an exceptional instructor, and I’m especially grateful that my very first yoga class was with him. He is patient, attentive, and intentional about making his routines beginner-friendly. He offers thoughtful, friendly corrections to ensure poses are done properly—something that not only builds confidence but also helps prevent injuries. These classes have become an essential part of my routine—and my recovery. Beyond the classes, the Transbay location has been exceptional. The staff are incredibly accommodating and genuinely helpful, which makes a big difference when you’re starting from zero. The facility itself is large, clean, and very well maintained. The equipment is always in great condition, and they’ve recently added high-tech eGym machines that elevate the entire workout experience. And when it’s time to recover, they even have a dedicated recovery room with several massage chairs—something I’ve come to truly appreciate after a good workout. It really is true: you have to use every part of your body—move it, stretch it, strengthen it—because if you don’t, you risk losing it. Thank you, Fitness SF, for being such a supportive and life-changing gym.

Although I am not consistent due to a busy lifestyle, I think this location is an amazing facility. Shoutout to Eric Matsuno for going above and beyond in helping me out with new machines and giving me the best fit test I have had in my 4ish (?) years of being a member!
