I had a similar experience to another negative review here, and I was really disappointed. My first visit was actually good, so I came back again. But this time was very different. I have a short bob, and after the cut, my hair looked very uneven. There were thick chunks on the top that were not blended well. The top layers are too short, so I have to wait for them to grow out. When I wake up, the top part sticks up and looks puffy. About a month later, I had to go to another salon to fix it. Also, I felt like the designer was not fully focused on me. He was helping other clients during my appointment, so I didn’t get full attention. The assistant who helped me was very nice and did a great job. But overall, I don’t think the haircut was worth the price, and I would not come back.

Original: 3 stars I visited the other day and while the staff are professional, kind, and quick, I felt like I wasn’t able to share my feedback (cut bangs shorter/ speak up that the cut was looking too short) during the haircut because of how rushed the process was (rushed to my seat, didn’t show me the back of my haircut after cutting, hurried out after showing me the cut ). Caleb took one look at the inspiration picture I showed and my hair doesn’t look like the reference photos I shared. My hair was already quite short at the visit, but it was cut much shorter than what I showed- now there’s nothing I can do to fix it but wait for it grow out. That does not warrant the $150 for the cut. I’m leaving 3 stars because while the other staff were kind and professional, I haven’t felt this upset over a haircut in years. EDIT: 1 stars I emailed Hair Arca and asked for a refund. No response or acknowledgment of my email. They have responded to my review below, but have not offered to fix anything/consult. I am lowering my stars because it seems to me that they don't care about customer service after they get you out the door. I do not recommend.

Had haircut and toner done by Caleb. It was so quick and turned out great. They gave me a mini head spa scalp massage too. Would recommend this salon for a Korean men’s haircut.

I had a hush cut/shaggy layer cut done today by Caleb and it is absolutely PERFECT!! This was my third time here and he never fails to execute perfectly the cut that I want. He is quick and efficient but he is an expert. I will certainly be back! ❤️

Super bummed because I really wanted to like this salon given the high ratings. I was looking for a new Asian salon in Los Angeles and booked a first-time bleach root touch-up and bang trim with Caleb. The process felt rushed from the start– bleach was applied quickly without sectioning my hair with foil or color paper, which made me uneasy. Every salon I’ve been to before has always meticulously sectioned my hair for this kind of service. Although I booked with Caleb, the appointment felt impersonal. He was mostly working on another client and barely spoke to me or checked on how my hair was lifting. The assistant handled most of the service, including the wash, and I actually had to ask him to rewash my hair because there was still very visible purple shampoo left in it— and I had an event that night. the final result is uneven— my roots are much warmer and more orange compared to the rest of my hair. I am giving 2 stars since the bang cut was fine.
