A café with a live DJ — probably one of the most talked-about coffee spots in SF recently. The prices genuinely surprised me. I’ve never seen a matcha priced in the double digits before. I came here because a friend recommended it, and to be fair, the interior is gorgeous. The design and atmosphere are clearly a big part of the experience.

Unique and lovely vibe, a patio with a giant open skylight and woodsy colors, Pacific Northwest vibe. No outlets, nowhere to work really bc limited seating. Coffee was good (had a 10oz latte) and the staff were great. Calm place for a cuppa

Hedge Coffee SF is a standout spot! Their cappuccino is a reliable favorite—velvety milk foam with a silky texture, perfectly balanced against the rich espresso. You can tell the baristas take real pride in their craft, and the result is a cup that feels both comforting and elevated. The café itself has a welcoming energy, with music playing and the roastery tucked in the back. Staff are friendly, the menu is thoughtfully curated, and while interior seating is limited, there are a few benches outside where you can sip your coffee beside their charming “mini” redwood tree. Hedge Coffee is the kind of place that invites you to linger—whether catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment solo. A must‑visit for anyone who appreciates great coffee and a unique atmosphere!

I came the first Saturday after opening and expected it to be busy and potentially chaotic but it was actually very efficient, the coffee excellent, the vibes fantastic, and the team super pleasant. Whoever the main guy was manning the front today, he seriously deserves a raise and lots of tips. The line was long and I hear it was longer later in the day and he handled every customer with a big smile and lots of warm welcome energy. I like how the place is designed inside. It’s very modern and minimalist but also boho and a little ravy. They have the cold brews facing outwards so the customers can pick them up when they’re ready and they’re set on a timer to perfectly pour 8 oz. The pastries are also from Maison Nico. There’s not a ton of indoor or courtyard seating or parking nearby so I’d recommend coming at off peak times.

Highly anticipated cafe offering up some delicious beverages in a beautiful space. Some of the best espresso shots I remember in recent years have come from Hedge coffee and now you can enjoy them in their own cafe space. I have tried the tonic and the cold brew and both have been excellent. I will say that the pricing gives you some sticker shock but I do appreciate that they've included gratuity up front AND don't ask for additional gratuity.
