Kevin's workshops are detailed, thorough, insightful and unique in a way that leaves everyone, beginner or pro, with a better skill set and perhaps even more important, you leave with a desire to want to be more creative. I have taken his Photoshop course, Painting by Light course, the "Finding Your Way" workshop, and Adobe Lightroom that all offered great content and a masterful agenda. If you want to continue to learn not only technical, but inspirational, Kevin is a treasured Austin asset.

The Photography 101 workshop was very beneficial to me personally. Kevin did an outstanding job in providing well developed training aids and presented the lesson material in a very coherent and professional manner; and his knowledge of the subject is amazing. He kept the class interesting with good student/instructor interaction and practical demonstrations. I highly recommend the course for anyone wishing to explore the world of photography. I highly recommend Kevin as a teacher. He is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled at photography. I really appreciated how he focused on helping me understand the why behind studio lighting, which gave me a solid foundation and confidence to move forward with my own work.

I used to love to take pictures with a manual Minolta, and later with a digital Canon, but I never learned how to operate my Canon in the manual modes, and over time I stopped using cameras and began to rely more on my iPhone. I've missed the fun of designing a beautiful shot, but it's been such a long time that my husband gave me some private photography lessons with Kevin Gourley for my birthday. I had a great experience! Kevin is an excellent teacher, very thorough, experienced and easy to understand. He's also very patient with someone who hasn't used a camera in several years. At my request, Kevin's even given me some advice about newer models. I got a good refresher from my prviate classes and plan to take his Photography 101 six week class in the coming weeks.

Just finished my 2nd course with Kevin, & hoping to book a 3rd course soon. I got a new camera a few years ago for a trip to europe, and wanted to learn how to use it outside of Auto settings. Thats when I found Kevin Gourley Photography. Kevin is easy to talk to, easy to learn from, and never made things seem difficult. I highly recommend his Photography 101 & 201 classes! Doesn't matter what brand of camera you're using, only that you bring it to class.

Great one on one session, even after several years of Nikon DSLR’ s and moving to the new “Z” cameras it was great to have Kevin go over what these new cameras offer. His presentation was spot on and easy to understand and made my follow-up shoot so much easier. Thanks Kevin…I really appreciate your input and time !
