Both of my children attend art classes at school, and unfortunately, the experience has been disappointing. I could easily provide them with materials for drawing or modeling and discuss creative topics at home without any cost. I expected these lessons to offer real instruction. When I asked my children if their teacher ever showed them how to draw, they could only recall one instance from the previous course when they drew a sunflower. That particular drawing is lovely and proudly displayed on our fridge, but it seems like a rare exception. Perhaps I’m missing something about the teaching approach to art, but to truly learn to draw, children need more structured guidance from the teacher, not just freeform drawing without any direction.

We rented the Pavilion for a baby shower on April 23rd, 2022. The space was perfect! Melanie was super easy to work with from giving a tour, to picking up the key to check out. The fee was a value for what we received. (Use of tables and chairs, stocked bathroom, private parking, etc.) I definitely recommend for any special event.

My wife and I got married here on March 29. The Lake Mansion was the perfect venue for us. The staff is helpful and accommodating, the building is beautiful inside and out, and the rooms have lots of character. This is an affordable and lovely venue for events.
