I really liked this place. The attention and the atmosphere were great, and the food was delicious. The ceviche was amazing and the chicken dumplings were so good 🥟

Le Colonial Houston delivers a fantastic French–Vietnamese fusion experience. Every dish was bursting with flavor, and nothing felt mediocre or forgettable. Standouts for us were the crispy shrimp and pork rolls, the seafood ceviche, and the shaking beef. If I had to nitpick, I’d say a few dishes could use a bit more protein. Service was excellent, with our server offering thoughtful recommendations throughout the meal, and the lush, plant-filled interior really tied the whole experience together.

Service and Atmosphere is excellent, the authenticity of the tase is somewhat not meeting with the service. The food can be easily find in other restaurants doesn’t have distinct signatures. I would only be here for the atmosphere and Instagram

Second visit to this gorgeous restaurant with delicious food and truly crafty cocktails. It was my birthday and we were looking for a more upbeat vibe so this time we chose to eat upstairs in the bar area. We scheduled early (6:30) thinking it wouldn't be too loud, unfortunately, we ended up being seated directly in front of the very talented piano player/singer and her speaker. While she had a lovely voice and chose great songs, it was pretty difficult to have a conversation amongst ourselves during her performance. Never-the-less, we had a great time and great food/drinks and we will definitely go back.

Went for a friend’s birthday and had a great experience. The staff was attentive and accommodating, especially for the two vegans in our group. While the drinks were a bit sweeter than my preference, they were still enjoyable. Prices are on the higher side, so keep that in mind. Don’t miss the upstairs bar—it’s a whole vibe at night!
