I recently started coming to this studio and I LOVE IT! For several years I didn't practice yoga because of chronic back pain. Back bends and spinal twists would flare up my nerve pain. When I came to Left Coast, yoga instructor Lyz Keating showed me how to adjust my poses so I wouldn't flare up my back and nerve pain. I'm extremely happy to say that I can practice yoga again. I'm grateful for this studio and Lyz for bringing my love of yoga back into my life.

It’s been a while since I stepped back in to take a class at Left coast power Yoga and I don’t know what kept me away so long. Rex Rodriguez is the Saturday morning, rocket yoga, instructor, and it was gratifying and uplifting. A great workout with intentional movements taught by a gifted instructor. Ako is a great place for community and really lives up to its philosophy of having each student follow their practice.

I love taking the Rocket class here so, so much—Liz and Rex are both inspiring, helpful teachers and really upleveled my yoga practice so quickly. The lobby is a really nice place to drink tea and collect yourself before class and the padded floor is now a non-negotiable to me for trying out trickier yoga moves. My fave spot in the Bay

I’ve been a fan of yoga for years having practiced at home off and on for years and through a college class. I was hesitant to join a real studio because of scheduling and price. I did a bunch of research and decided to check out Left Coast Power Yoga and I’m glad I did! Firstly, everyone at the studio is super friendly from the instructors to the front desk staff and even the other students. It doesn’t feel elitist at all, everyone really wants to see you do well and encourages you to meet yourself where you are. Second, there’s a variety of classes, not just hot yoga. Left Coast offers Pilates, strength and conditioning and a gentler yoga class called Yoga for Longevity. It’s pretty easy to find a class that you’ll enjoy and that will fit in your schedule. I just started with Left Coast Power Yoga but I already feel like I belong there. I’m glad I moved out of my comfort zone, I don’t think I could have found a better place to begin.

I love this small neighborhood yoga studio for the quality of its teachers, the varied schedule, and the helpfulness of the support team. As an older yogi, I personally appreciate the Yoga for Longevity and Flow & Restore classes taught by Deb, an experienced (and very fun) teacher. Whatever your level or extent of your interest, definitely check out this studio. It's the real deal.
