Have been hitting up this gym for some time now and even though its quite a ways, highly recommend going! Not just great for its routes or amenities, but the community at LBR is truly one of a kind. Just recently attended an event and seeing LBR among other organizations bring people together is always cool to see

I was visiting LA and came out to Long Beach specifically to visit this gym because I had heard good things and it did not disappoint! The facility is really nice, lots of open space and natural light, all the different wall angles you need, including a steep cave, and a well stocked training area. The climbs were set well with a good range of movement and style, from powerful dynamic, to nice fun flowy, to high tension and small holds. I loved the diversity of hold selection with a lot of newer holds in addition to old school holds sprinkled in there. I certainly got thrown off a bunch of the climbs, but that is bound to happen when you climb at other gyms that are not your home gym. I also really enjoyed how much personality you can see in the gym, you can tell that the owner and the employees really care about the gym and it's community. I will definitely be back if I am even remotely in the LA area and would recommend anyone and everyone to check this gym out.

Beyond a good climb are all the amenities. The gym offers free climbs once a year and always offer free events

Love this climbing gym. The staff are amazing, super helpful, there are classes and free resources with membership to teach you bouldering, fitness, yoga and more. The bathrooms have a sauna, showers, full facilities. I train in the gym which overlooks the climbing area and has everything I need to lift and do mobility work. The walls are impressive and even the retail / lounge space is dope and has everything you could ever need. Filtered water machines, snacks, drinks and all sorts of boards and extra gear to specialize your training as well. Been here over a year and it has made me a much better climber. Easily my go to choice to escape. The upstairs is free to kids and others to try, they run local events, reward for riding your bike and all sorts of other community programs and that's really special. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the weekend hours. I've got more time on the weekends and would climb a lot more if I could get in on a Saturday or Sunday night after 6pm. But overall this is my favorite membership facility I've had in a long time and when I bring friends they're stoked about the whole experience. Thank you LBR.
