My husband and I had a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Marvin Nakamoto is awesome! He takes time to explain things and gives you an analogy so you can truly understand what is going on with your eyes. He also fixed an eye issue on the spot that my husband had had for a few years. He is clearly 👁 the best optometrist we've been to! Thank you! Happy Holidays! 🥰

3 stars because Dr. Gongalves is the best. But the office is unfriendly and you are greated like a criminal with large "you are on camera signs, having to show a drivers licence and insurance cards every time. Cranky front desk and upsales for procedures before you even see the doctor. One of the machines was broken and the choice of frame options and colors was less than it used to be and it takes longer to get the glasses. Good doctors - ad corporate.

My first time at the Midtown Optometric Group. From making an appointment, checking in, quality testing of my eyes for any issues, and getting my prescription. This place has a total commitment to my health. I love the attentiveness and caring of the staff, and their attention to detail. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. The selection of frames was plentiful. I would say that this is a modern practice with a feeling of an old fashion office. I felt like I was visiting old friends. I recommend this place for your eye needs. I know that next year I will return to get my exam again. Thank you for your friendly service and expertise.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Alex Goncalves as a new patient. Emily from the practice called me to confirm my appointment. While I was providing my personal information, she made fun of my accent. I reminded Emily that I am not ashamed of my accent, as it reflects the fact that I speak four other languages. Unfortunately, her behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional. Based on the way she treated me, I would not be surprised if she lacked proper customer service training. I told her that I do not wish to visit a practice where respect is not shown and diversity is not valued. I am quite disappointed, as a good friend referred me to this doctor. It is disheartening that, in order to reach a good physician, one must first deal with unprofessional front desk staff.
