I’ve been going to Mike Blendz Barbershop since 2018, and I honestly can’t believe it’s taken me this long to leave a review. This is long overdue, my apologies to the staff but I’m glad to finally share a well deserved positive review of Mike Blendz Barbershop, located at 1608 Ownby Ln in Richmond, VA. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The staff is consistently professional, approachable, and genuinely takes the time to get to know their clients. Communication is always on point, whether you come in knowing exactly what you want or need expert guidance, they listen carefully and make sure you leave completely satisfied. Everyone in the shop is easy to talk to, which makes every visit fly by. Between the laughs, real conversations, and laid back energy, they create a comfortable environment that keeps you coming back. It’s the kind of place where you leave not only with a great haircut, but in a better mood overall. The shop is always clean, organized, and well maintained, which really speaks to their attention to detail and pride in their work. Appointments run smoothly, and while walk-ins may be available at times, booking through the Booksy app is recommended due to how busy they stay. The vibe is relaxed yet energetic perfect for unwinding while knowing you’re in great hands. Another thing I appreciate is that it’s never a boring experience. With TVs throughout the shop and music always playing, the energy stays high and the time passes quickly. Whether you’re catching a game, watching what’s on screen, or just enjoying the music and conversation, there’s always something to keep you entertained while still maintaining a chill, comfortable atmosphere. Most importantly, the quality of work is top tier. This isn’t just my experience, several coworkers and friends of mine come here regularly and consistently receive excellent results. Mike sets the standard with his precision, consistency, and expert-level skill, and his leadership clearly reflects throughout the entire shop. Garland and Deeja are equally talented, delivering sharp, high-quality cuts and outstanding service every time. Terrance, the newest barber, is already showing impressive skill and promise and is a great addition to an already strong team. It’s clear that every barber truly cares about their craft and their clients. Mike Blendz Barbershop sets the bar for quality, service, and overall experience. I confidently recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional barbershop.

Received an absolutely botched haircut from another barber. Mike came through for me and fixed everything I was concerned about and now I feel more confident to be seen out in public. I will be going to Mike from now on. Shop was clean and welcoming.

I wanted an undercut to give me a little relief from the heat this summer and I love it! I’ve been in twice since for touchups, and they do such a great job. They take walk-ins or you can text them to schedule an appointment. They only charge $15 for the cut, which is the best price in town hands-down!! It’s even cheaper than going to Great Clips or Hair Cuttery. I love to support a local small biz!

Garland hooked it up for my nephews! They needed a cut for the summer. What a great job he did for the kids. He took his time and that shows he will take care of you. We will definitely be back
