This has been one of my favorite places to get my hair cut. I loved the aesthetics of the location, they have the most comfortable hair-washing chairs I have sat in, and the essential oils they offered smelled amazing. As a first time customer I got a little goody bag which was a plus! My dresser did an amazing job as well and really took in exactly what I asked for (adding more lightness and waves while maintaining length and framing the face)

I went to Mirror + Mantel for the first time and booked the Apothecary Haircut with Akasha. She was so kind and amazing and really listened to what I wanted/needed for my hair and also took the time to give me some product recommendations afterwards for at-home care! She was so easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I love how my hair turned out and I’d totally recommend her to anyone!!

I had an unfortunate experience here for several reasons. Most significantly, when I washed my hair two days after the appointment, I could see the precise shadow of my grey hair I'd paid over $150 to cover. There was an easily visible, clearly lighter shade where my grey had been along my part, indicating a lack of grey coverage. I contacted the owner about this and other concerns and requested a refund. Rather than apologizing, acknowledging my dissatisfaction with the service, or addressing the issue (I sent a picture), the owner blamed me. I am unclear how it was my fault that her stylist didn't cover my grey hair when that was the service I booked and was told I was being given. I did get a refund, but not a single word of accountability. Defensiveness and blaming the (former) customer are beyond comprehension. She challenged every word I said. This is not a business that cares about customer satisfaction. I'd stay away.

This salon is the best! I came to Mirror & Mantel to get a coloring mishap from a different salon fixed. Katie was so reassuring - she did amazing work, fixed me up, and matched my color perfectly! So grateful!

I have been going to Rose for more than a year and every haircut brings about compliments not just from family and friends but strangers on the street. I'm not exaggerating. I have long thick curly hair that I both keep curly as well as style straight. It's always a challenge to find a perfect stylist that knows my type of hair, as well as listens to what I want. I haven't changed my hair style or length in years. And yet people who know me keep asking me what I have done different to my hair and tell me how great it looks. I have had great first haircuts in other places followed by disappointment. But here, it's been consistently amazing cuts. Thank you, Rose.
