One of the most beautful antique stores in Southern California. A sanctuary for an old soul. Randy is vey fair on his prices, both buying and selling. He is a polite and straight forward person who knows what he is talking about. This place is really a treasure cove of antiquities.

Horrible! I called Mission Gallery antiques today because of the rating and the reviews I saw on their website. I called and spoke with someone named Randy. First off, he was rude. He didn't seem very friendly at all. I did, however, have a brief conversation with him in which he instructed me to send photos to the number on the site, which he said is his cell number. I informed him that I had left a message via the website two days ago and was following up to see if they had received that message and to see if they might be interested. He tells me that sending it that way is not good because he never gets to see it because of his partner, and it gets deleted. Ok, sounds weird, but again I did as he instructed. I send him the photos, and I wait for a response. I send him photos of two antique Russian silver icons which are both dated and stamped on bottom. One is 1863 and the other dated 1867. Also the Russian silver stamp 84 for silver. I wait for him to responds, so he then sends me pictures of icons that his store has and says" I am looking for actual icons". What?! I call him and tell him that what I've sent are those, actual icons. Instead of responding that with what he did, he could have easily asked me to send, in a KIND and professional manner, photos of the marks. Instead his reply is condescending and rude. I tell him that I will take my business elsewhere. I took it at their reviews and rating that they were a good company to do business with for selling antiques you may have, but I was dead wrong. Additional: Your response is not true at all. You can try to make me out to be a liar, but that's on you. I stand by what I wrote about what occurred.

I looked up nearby antique stores that were open and this store came up. I got to this store and it said appointment only on the exterior, so I called the number listed. I called to make an appointment and our first call got disconnected. I was very rudely spoken to by some man after I called back a second time. He began telling me that the store hours/days have been the same since for years like I should have somehow known. I, never having been here before, was surprised at how rude this first interaction was considering how good the reviews are. Just unfortunate customer service.

Spoke with the owner of this place. Unfortunately he was under the weather, but took the time to speak with me about the antiques business. Very knowledgeable, very curious, and despite his current ailments was very informative. I wish this man well and a full and good recovery. I would recommend if you are in the antiques shopping area and you go across this man's place of business, stop in and say hello. He probably has something that you would like or need. I will definitely go back.
