This is my favorite movement gym. I love how many routes there are and how tall they are. Nice staff, clean, great hours. It was really quiet and open when I went on a Monday.

I love checking out the different Movements. I'm happy to have had an extra day in Chicago, easy access from the Red Line. This gym is huge (compared to nyc!) Love how much space there's for everything. It seems the strong area are the rope/lead. One floor for bouldering. What could be better? -Add a Slack Line -Auto-belays for the solo rope climbers. Monday morning, the gym was empty, only a couple of people bouldering. It started to get more people after 11:30am The fitness room is giant, with all the machine and strength training you can imagine. Nice add yoga studio. Staff is friendly and the entire place is very clean. Loved the music as well.

I started coming to this Movement location a little over 2 years ago and immediately loved it. It was a slow-paced piece of heaven in the fast-paced nature of the city. It was so clean, it had a safe and inclusive feeling for all people, and there was a mutual respect among the members. I’m not sure if this location has new management, but I won’t be coming back. The women’s locker rooms have been filthy all fall/winter and I haven’t felt comfortable showering here in awhile. The top rope routes are still very dynamic and enjoyable, but the bouldering routes feel disjointed and the area is always very crowded with many people yelling over the music, making it impossible to concentrate on any route upstairs. The vibes have changed drastically and are more Lincoln Park aligned with lots of bros being loud and hogging the bouldering area. Non-members and new climbers aren’t informed of safety standards or climbing etiquette and are very reckless. Skip this location and go to the Wrigleyville location or First Ascent in Uptown.

Was in Chicago for a day and the front desk staff were super friendly!

Been going here for a couple years and probably one of the best climbing gyms in the city IMO. Not 5 stars for a couple reasons. Memberships are expensive at around $100 dollars a month. Secondly the locker rooms/showers/sauna could be a lot cleaner and also kept stocked with fresh towels more reliably. Otherwise highly recommend

Overall a decent gym, top notch dependable weekly setting, clean climbing and fitness area. 2 stars off for lack of cleanliness in the locker room, shower, and sauna. I’ve brought my concerns up with staff several times but haven’t seen much improvement. The sauna could use a pressure wash and bench replacement. The locker rooms should be cleaned a few times a day, it’s very unsanitary. Movements big edge over the other climbing gyms in the city are the sauna and showers. Not maintaining the facilities erodes the value proposition
