We contacted Hector for a free telephone consultation after our young French Bulldog suddenly began showing reactivity during walks. Following our initial conversation, we arranged an in-person session, and we’re so glad we did. Hector was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain not just what to do, but why each step was important, which really helped everything make sense. He equipped us with practical tools we could use both at home and out on walks, and we noticed a difference immediately after the very first visit. Our dog has already made incredible progress, and we’re confident this will continue as we apply the techniques Hector provided. Walks are no longer stressful—we feel far more relaxed and in control. There’s no quick fix, and as Hector explained, you do need to put in the work yourself. But with his clear guidance and proven methods, you’re set up for success. Would highly recommend Natural Balance for dog training. Hector visited us to give us advice on training our staffy Sailor. We had issues with jumping up at people visiting our home, pulling on the lead and aversion to other dogs. The training is clearly demonstrated and Sailor is responding well to it. Hector checks on how we are doing and is on the end of the phone if we need him.

I recently rehomed my spaniel Yara + she suffers from quite severe separation anxiety, crying and howling if I left the room, as well as barking at the doorbell + visitors. Hector has been a great help in improving Yara's behaviour, just within the past few weeks since having our training sessions + training plan, Yara is less reactive in the house, is sleeping in her crate alone at night, and gradually is becoming more settled when left alone. I'm sure through sticking to the behaviour plan her behaviour will continue to improve and we'll be able to leave her alone for longer periods of time. Definitely recommend, Hector is very knowledgeable, and always there to answer questions. It's clear he genuinely cares and wants whats best for your dog!
