My favorite gym of all time. Has everything you need for traditional strength training, powerlifting, cardio, etc. and then some, but the staff are truly what make this gym exceptional. Shouts to Hector, Kristoff, Mike, and the many other trainers/staff that keep this place humming - they are incredibly supportive and helpful, and helped me smash through decade-plus strength plateaus during the four years I worked out there. The other people at the gym will keep to themselves if you prefer privacy/quiet, but are also super friendly and nice if you want to chat. The only reason I left this gym was because I moved out of San Diego, and I miss it already!

I like this gym. Nice location, good equipment, and friendly staff. However, I am giving this average rating because while I was a member, I acquired a Staph infection. It could come from anywhere but I suspect I got it from here. The cleaning facilities provided are inadequate in my opinion. The overused rags with spray need to be replaced with wipes. Period. The mats need replacing. God knows when those were cleaned. For the fee we pay, cleanliness should not be a question.

While this gym is NOT cheap, you really get what you pay for! The equipment is always in good condition, repaired when needed, and they turn on AC when hot. Staff are friendly and responsive. I go about 3 times a week and live in neighborhood, which makes the cost per visit not much. Well worth it!!

Staff is caring and personable with no hard sell. WIDE variety of well-maintained equipment, iron and machines, with newly expanded space - never crowded, open early, CLEAN! Respectful environment. Easy parking / great location next to Target.

I was in town for just a few days and needed a solid gym that offers day passes. It wasn’t easy to find but was really happy to have found this gym (20$ for a day pass). Gym is on the smaller side but has everything you need. They have an awesome selection of plate loaded Hammer Strength machines and plenty of squat racks. Staff was incredibly friendly ! I felt very welcome there. Would sign up if I lived in San Diego.
