Ty was wonderful! He, along with everyone working, was hustling. I really appreciated Ty’s friendliness and how he genuinely wanted to ensure our experience, service, and food was good. The service was so quick and the food came out HOT. Food was delicious. I try many restaurants in Philadelphia and there are few I would come back to vs going somewhere new. This is one of those solid “repeat offender”spots where everyone can find something on the menu they’d enjoy.

Osteria Ama Philly on Chestnut Street is a cozy gem nestled in downtown Philly. The interior was festively decorated for the holidays. The ambiance and general vibe were extremely lively. The patrons were a mix of couples, families with children, and groups. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and always in motion. Their handoffs of food and empty plates were well choreographed. Our waiter Ty was exceptional. He gave fantastic recommendations from the menu and seemed to anticipate our needs. The meal itself was simply superb. The food came out piping hot, well plated, and it was nothing short of delicious. I highly recommend ordering the seafood risotto, Chicken Parmigiana Rose, and the Margherita Pizza. I wished we could have tried more items from the menu, but the portions are quite hearty. We had enough leftovers to take home for another meal. I know Osteria Ama will definitely be on my list for my next trip to Philly. A few other items of note. Osteria is BYOB with no corkage fees, which is unheard of these days. Local parking is a bit of a challenge. Reservations are highly recommended.

Due to holidays and possibly over booking themselves, we had a work party booked and they were short staffed it seemed so it took almost an hour for water and appetizers. Some people had to leave part way through eating because it had been a couple hours already. The staff was super nice but the restaurant dropped the ball on that. They did the best they could. Also they were supposed to cut our cakes but they didn't, they gabe us a small plastic cutter. Disappointing there too. The bruschetta was phenomenal. Ceasar salad too. Chicken parm was good. Average. Would probably go there again in the office season. Nit the staffs fault, but a decent experience overall. The place was beautiful 😍

The food was really good, we loved the atmosphere! Overall we are gonna be back to taste other dishes! The risotto itself was amazing but the seafoods in it were mediocre! The scicilian pasta was good but,the spinach taste was empowering all the other tastes, we couldn’t even taste the eggplant. The gnocchi chicken was amazing, was our favorite dish. The sauce was really rich and it tasted amazing! The capellini scampi was a bit bland, but with some Parmesan and pepper it tasted good too! The

Traveled to Philly for the Eagles vs Bears game to discover this Italian Gem. Turns out we were really lucky to get last minute reservations as they are always booked. They are known to be the BEST Italian Restaurant in Philly. Did it meet the expectations…absolutely. The food was delicious and loved the small sourdough bread. The appetizers were so good. Most importantly our server Ty was the bomb !! He remembered all the orders and he was witty.
