✨a neighborhood hidden gem ☕️ If you’re a coffee connoisseurs or just a cafe hopper (like me) I would say this is a must try spot! Excited to visit time and time again. Although I am not experienced enough as a coffee fiend to really appreciate the depth, I loved the passion put into each cup of coffee. We ordered the house blend (medium) and philly blend (dark). Each drink is pricy but the experience and effort to make it felt worth it. And we got cute matching cups and a little snack to go with! What we got: ⭐️ Ray’s House Blend decaf, medium roast ($13) - Ray’s Philly Blend, dark roast ($13) Cannot wait to come back to this quirky cafe along a quieter street of Chinatown.

Came here after a solid recommendation, and it definitely lived up to the hype! Food: The food was surprisingly delicious, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. They seem to be especially proud of their dumplings — and rightfully so. The Dumpling Sampler is a must if you want to try all the different flavors (highly recommend). And for context, we’re from NYC — not exactly short on great Chinese food — and this place still impressed us. Coffee: If you’re into coffee, this place is for you. The owner clearly takes it seriously — we ordered their most delicate (and pricey) brew. Couldn’t personally tell a huge difference taste-wise, but we loved his passion for the craft. Coffee connoisseurs: you’ve met your match. Atmosphere: What a charming little spot with a mix of cozy and quirky vibes. Would definitely come back the next time we’re in town!

The food was good (I had shrimp spring roll). The drink is even better! They take coffee/tea seriously! I had a matcha latte and it tasted similar to the matcha I had in Malaysia. So good! The lady serving me was soo attentive it gave ethnic grandmother caring on you.

Lovely place with delicious Taiwanese dishes and high-quality tea and coffee! Ray’s Cafe & Tea House is now one of my favorite places in Chinatown (or even in Philly!), and I have been recommending it to acquaintances and friends ever since my visit. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, I hope to visit and dine in again soon with my parents- thank you so much for the wonderful dining experience 🥰

I have heard good things about this place so decided to check it out, maybe I had too good of an expectation and the experience turned out to be pretty mid, It’s a family owned business and only has a few tables so the dine in experience was a bit stressful. They reserved the table for people who want to get”real lunch” instead of grabbing a coffee and pastries, so I definitely wouldn’t call it a chill place to get coffee at. Ordered the dumplings samplers set with the house drip coffee, I love the presentation but the foods was kinda mediocre. They do have a list of specialty coffee and tea you can get, that’s pretty much the only good thing I can say about it. The food is kinda overpriced for the environment it provides. (I just looked at the reviews from 6 years ago when the dumplings samplers were $9.75, it’s now $17.99, I guess the inflation did get to all of us these couple of years)
