Happened almost a year ago, realized I never posted a review: I purchased a Chrome Hearts hoodie here for $800. The store very clearly advertises everything as fully authentic and legit, I even made sure with the lady at the cashier before purchasing. 2 weeks later, I decide to post the item on a website and many users provided me with overwhelming evidence the item I purchased was fake. Incorrect tags, incorrect product codes, fabric was polyester, zippers were not real silver, etc. I went into the store again and provided them with this evidence so we could come to a fair solution for both the store and I, as they are a consignment store. However, the cashier gave me the owners email and after some back and forth, the owner refused a refund or return claiming they stand by their conclusion that it was authentic. I had a multi-page document created and sent to them with every single inconsistency and flaw, they jacket itself even started disintegrating with regular wear, fabric was falling off the netting? Again, they completely disregarded all the evidence provided. Including failed Legit Checks from multiple different websites. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and ReLove continued to try to plead their case, claiming that ‘All Sales are Final’ despite literally selling counterfeit goods. After almost 3 months of me providing undeniable evidence, I got my money back. Overall, I wouldn’t trust the stores authentication process at all, and don’t expect any sympathy from the store if they do sell you a fake item.

ReLove Oakland is a beautiful store. They have a great selection of designer items. The staff is welcoming and helpful. I found an amazing jacket that has become a staple in my wardrobe.

Lady at the front counter was extremely rude to me and snapped at me and was trying to belittle me when I came in I don’t think I had even gotten a single word out of my mouth yet then I decided that the attitude I was given was so rude that I was going to leave and after I stepped out of the store she then yelled at me “children!” This behavior is unacceptable I have been to this store many times before and all the staff have been extremely welcoming and is what I loved about coming to this store. I have never seen this woman before so I am shocked that she came at me with such an attitude. I work in customer service I know what it’s like to have a rude customer but never in a million years would I ever yell an insult at someone after they have diffused the situation by walking away

My experience and opinion of this place is somewhat mixed, but slightly favors my negative feelings. The positive: it’s a beautiful space with a very helpful, friendly and informative staff. When waiting to have my things evaluated, there was heavy foot traffic. Based on staff interactions, it was obvious there were many regulars. A place like this is very rare for Oakland. The negative: in-person and even on their website it was explicitly mentioned that they offer up to 30% cash based on the retail value of the item. I happened to have two high value shirts that were in good - mint condition. When getting my clothes valued and itemized the associate pretty much told me based on policy (30% of retail price) my shirt would equal x amount (3 figure offer) PER SHIRT but they would like to proceed with offering another amount that was significantly lower (2 figure offer). To make things even stranger, the third item that they purchased (cargo pants), they offered a number that once again contradicted their policy but this time it favored me, given what they offered and retail value of the pants. The offerings were all over the place and confusing. I’m not mad about the number that was offered, but the gap and discrepancy in policy. Another part of my visit that I found strange was that they did not ask for any information to confirm authentication of the items. In fact, I’m the one that asked them if they wanted to see my proof of purchase and profile with the high end brand, which I actually requested from the high value brand beforehand. The associate replied “no”, which is surprising because wouldn’t you want to authenticate an item of that caliber and want to assure future buyers of authenticity? Not saying they don’t care or they don’t check. Maybe they had their own way to check on their end that I’m not privy of, but it did strike me as odd. In all, great place, nice people. Faulty and borderline deceptive policies and authentication policy seems non existent. Ok rant over, thanks !
