Wonderful stables, and a fantastic place to board your horse or take riding lessons. We’ve been coming here for years and have consistently had nothing but amazing experiences. Everyone is friendly, the horses are tame and well trained, and the place itself is well taken care of and beautiful. Can’t recommend highly enough.

I discovered Rocking J through a google search a few years ago after leaving another barn. Anne responded to my inquiry almost immediately when I reached out and has been extremely professional in all matters. I'm an adult amateur learning to ride later in life and from the moment I reached out Anne and the Rocking J staff have been warm and accommodating. There are learners of all different ages and levels and as an adult amateur it's really nice to meet others like me who are taking lessons (and in my case part leasing) to love and enjoy horses and learn horsemanship. I appreciate the attention to detail; including notebooks to document your goals, progress and the opportunity for schooling shows, which is a fun way to bring the community of students together. When you walk up to the barn you see it is clearly loved and taken care of; it's small but it's tidy and there are a variety of horses to learn from. For now the stable has access to the land which was formerly a country club and guests can go on trail rides there; it's a welcome oasis of the wild in the increasingly urban DFW area. If you want a place to ride and learn to ride you've come to the right place.

Was there today and Riley did a great job at teaching my daughter and helping her face her fears. The stables and horses are so well taken care and the place is just beautiful. Nitro was also amazing.

I just read a review of how they don't respond to phone calls or text. And I would have to agree. For what ever reason they are ghosting their potential customers. I've been calling for about a week and text which the message says that it would be easier for the host to respond to on their answering machine. But to no possible success. I don't know if they are purposely screening calls or to what purpose. Either way it is not good business practices. I've left plenty of messages and there's been plenty of opportunity in time to reply to these messages. But for some reason they will not respond. It's crazy that today you have to force people to take your money for a honest good days type of work. Today customers are not being appreciated nor the fact that they are willing to take your money but not giving you quality business transactions. I would have had liked the experience of interacting with these people and having an experience with the horses doing an event that I wanted to hold. But it looks like it will never happen and I will get some kind of disingenuous reply saying I'm sorry no one listened to you. Without making any effort to fix or rectify any of the problem. To anyone else looking into setting up reservations with these folks "GOOD LUCK!"
