We chose Rooh for our christmas eve dinner and the food was absolutely delicious, my kudos to the chef! Also, would like to thank Pooja who made possible that we eat the best food in the most comfortable way. Chicken kulcha and Raj kachori was my favorite.

The cuisine at this restaurant is genuinely excellent—thoughtful, well-executed, and clearly the work of a skilled kitchen. Each dish reflected care, balance, and the level of culinary sophistication one expects from an upscale dining establishment. Unfortunately, the experience was seriously undermined by the service, which was profoundly disappointing and wholly misaligned with the restaurant’s fine-dining aspirations. From the moment we were seated, the waiter’s demeanor set the wrong tone. We were abruptly instructed to place the entire order “in one shot,” delivered not as guidance but as a directive, without courtesy or explanation. Guests were repeatedly addressed as “boss,” a term entirely out of place in a refined setting and indicative of inadequate training in hospitality etiquette. Fine dining is about more than food—it is about grace, respect, and attentiveness. On Christmas, of all evenings, this lack of professionalism nearly spoiled what should have been a memorable dinner, creating a stark and unfortunate contrast to the excellence of the kitchen.

Great experience at Rooh in San Francisco! The food was warm, toasty, and absolutely delicious. But the highlight was definitely our server, Deepraj. He was friendly, funny, and made us feel taken care of the entire night. Highly recommend this spot!

Outstanding, all around — the food, service, ambiance, all impressive. We have been to this restaurant a few times and enjoyed it each time. If you like unique flavor combinations, Rooh will certainly please your palate. Last night we enjoyed the Dahi Puri, Butter Chicken Kulcha, Potato Tiki and Crispy Okra. To accompany the food we opted for the Mumbai Chai; I recommend at least one person at the table order this for its spectacular presentation. I love chai anything, so this is also my fave drink. Take note— on a Monday night there was a wait at the door. Being two of us only, we were able to walk and seat ourselves at the bar; you want to ask the host first before doing that. If you’re a larger party I recommend placing a reservation. Fabulous evening, always special.
