I received a referral to go to this place, spend three nights, and get kicked back out on the sidewalk. I was already sleeping on the sidewalk. Why do I need a referral for that?

A neighborhood community center that offers classes, programs, and a senior citizen nutritional program based on pre-qualifications. Some classes and programs are free or a small fee. Programs are from children to seniors. They have an onsite gym, 0800-1800, Monday through Friday, Saturday, 0900-1300, for $10 (cash or card) per month. Outdated basic equipment but if you don't need fancy and you don't want to pay ridiculous prices, this is the place 💪🏽 Finally, friendly and helpful staff. I've been going to Roosevelt Community Center gym for 8 months now. Still well worth the price, $10 per month, if on a budget. The staff are also very friendly, especially Supervisor Cris.

First off, while the navigation takes you to the front of the community center entrance, this is not where you want to be. You want to park in the back lot and enter from the back entrance. The community center is good size and has an inviting setup though the front entrance has homeless folks and a lot of chaos. The event we attended had food catered and looks like the area is able to hold about 150 ish people.
