I recently discovered a financial statement showing the purchase of tracking equipment—while a criminal restraining order was in place against my ex. After everything I’ve been through, it was alarming and overwhelming, and I found myself constantly looking over my shoulder and feeling unsafe in my own daily routine. I worked directly with the owner—we’ll refer to him as “D” for the sake of privacy—and from the very first conversation, he created a safe space for me to explain everything in detail. He didn’t rush me, didn’t minimize anything, and offered knowledgeable, grounded guidance that extended far beyond the standard vehicle sweep I initially called about. His professionalism was matched with genuine compassion, which made a huge difference given the circumstances. When it came time for the vehicle sweep, D was incredibly thorough. I’m really grateful for this private investigator. I actually contacted several before finding him, and it was really difficult. One of them demanded money the moment we met—he was aggressive, and I felt scared. I hesitated and told him we’d talk the next day, but he immediately started yelling at me. Another one offered to sell me the entire report ,but I felt something was off. That kind of report would be illegal to sell, and if he could sell it, it was probably just public information we could find ourselves—so I didn’t take it. Eventually, I got in touch with David. He patiently explained why he does this work and how he could help me. We had coffee and talked for a long time before signing the contract and making the payment. In the end, he completed the task very quickly, and I’m truly thankful to him.
