Was very surprised to find an actual winery in Bakersfield, and what a treat it turned out to be! Lisa & Bill were just like hanging out with really smart wine friends... So knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Plus I learned that I actually like sherry! Loved the wines we tried as well. If I lived locally, I'd definitely be back. Hidden treasure in good ole Bako- take a minute to stop by and check them out!

Stopped by for a college assignment for a wine tasting, Bill was incredibly kind and attentive to us. He was quick with our next tasting and very informative on the wines. I appreciated how talkative he was and how genuine he felt, will definitely be back again.

Wife and I stumbled upon San Rucci while actually looking for a different business but were drawn in by the gorgeous setting inside the open door. Very glad we did! We were immediately welcomed in by Bill and Lisa, and felt like the most important people in the world for the entire visit. The tasting menu was outstanding, and stories behind each picture on the bottle even more so. Do not pass up the homemade tarallis! Exemplary experience full of family history and hosts that elevated this stop on our four day trip from KC to SF to one of our favorite memories. Will absolutely be back!
