I did a ton of research before committing to a hair transplant and ultimately chose SD Hair, and TLDR: Best decision I could have made (phew!) The day of surgery honestly felt more like a spa day than a medical procedure. The team made me feel super comfortable from the moment I walked in. I actually fell asleep pretty early on during the harvesting phase, which says a lot about how relaxed I was. Woke up around lunch, had a break, and then dozed off again during the transplanting. The whole thing was way less intense than I expected, and I had a whole team making sure I was comfortable the entire time. What really impressed me was the results. A couple of my friends who've had transplants done elsewhere were genuinely surprised by the grouping and the amount of coverage I got in a single session. That feedback meant a lot because these are guys who know what good work looks like (I had no idea, it just looked good to me but I had no point of comparison). After the procedure, they drove me home with really detailed aftercare instructions for both the donor area and the transplant area. Everything was clear, it had a summary, and even a time table on when to use medication, when to stop, etc. The healing process went smoothly and honestly felt pretty easy compared to what I'd read online. It was a bit hard to find a comfortable position to sleep but no major discomfort or complications. Day 2 I got used to sleeping with the neck pillow that they provided and then it was a breeze. If you're on the fence about it, just go in for a consultation. Elijah and his team are knowledgeable, they took their time to explain the pros and the cons, how it works and what to expect, etc. I was scared at the beginning but I went in there very relaxed and confident in the team, and the results speak for themselves. I'd do it again without hesitation!

I can’t say enough good things about SD Hair MD. From start to finish, the experience was professional, honest, and way more comfortable than I expected. Elijah was amazing throughout the entire process. I came in with a lot of questions and concerns, and he took the time to explain everything to me clearly not just telling me “yes” to everything I wanted, but actually breaking down why certain things would or wouldn’t work and what would give me the best long-term result. That honesty made a huge difference and gave me real confidence going into the procedure. I also want to mention that I deal with pretty bad anxiety, and that was one of my biggest worries going in. But everything went really smoothly, and I felt comfortable the entire time. I asked a lot of questions probably more than most and not once did Elijah or anyone there seem annoyed, rushed, or bothered. They were extremely patient, friendly, and made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. The environment felt very welcoming and family-oriented, and I was able to just be myself without feeling judged or stressed. Originally, I went in expecting to get around 1500-1700 grafts. But after talking through my goals, I wanted more density and a stronger hairline. Elijah and the team had no problem adjusting the plan, and I ended up getting 2240 grafts, which gave me exactly the hairline and density I was hoping for. The procedure itself went flawlessly. I felt comfortable the entire time, and you can tell they really know what they’re doing. Even this early on, I’m extremely happy with how everything looks so far and I’m excited to see the final results.
