I love this place. The last visit was rather awkward. Since we were a party of 2, they sat us with 2 different parties, which is fine..except they all got full with their appetizers..so when the food was served, they barely ate any. They asked for boxes...so then we all got asked if we needed boxes and the server brought my check immediately after I had just asked for a soft drink. Since the rest of the party left, I felt obligated to leave since I had the box and the check in front of me. I was not finished eating, so it was disappointing. It wont stop me from coming, but maybe they can adjust this.

We went here on a Sunday afternoon where it was relatively busy and they only had 3 chefs cooking hibachi. What we expected to be an hour lunch turned into almost three hours. Super slow and put a dent in our plans for the day Upside was the chef was very fun. The waiters did their best and the food wasn't bad. A bit pricey.

We called ahead of time and glad we did. Place was full of loud folks and we wouldn't have enjoyed it. Well the 20 mins we were told to expect our food came and went. After several attempts we talked to the manager who disappeared "looking for our order". An HOUR later we got our take out. No apologies no comps nothing. Got home and my Yakisoba was a hot mess. We were given was half an order for the expensive dinner meal. It also had POTATOES in it. YAKISOBA DOES NOT HAVE POTATOES IN IT. I talked to Emily (manager) who said it did. Fire her behind! Darryl comped our meal after we offered to go back to square them away. This has become the standard for this location. Service out the window. NEVER again.

SKIP BENIHANA AND COME HERE INSTEAD!! Shogun saved my dinner plans! After Benihana missed my reservation by more than 90 minutes, Shogun rescued the evening. The staff was incredibly friendly and punctual. The service was friendly, the chef had a great sense of humor, and the food is delicious. Don't fall trap to the clout hype of Benihana, go to a restaurant that actually cares about you! Go to Shogun!
